How it all started...
The company was founded in 1999 by the partners Joachim Steidl and Siegmund Thaler under the name SP Technology GmbH.

Due to changing economic conditions, customers increasingly requested complete tools. For this purpose, the company ABR Tools GmbH was founded in 2011 and equipped with the best assembly machines based exclusively on the latest laser welding technology. This meant that laser-welded saw blades and drill bits (complete tools) could also be offered. The aim was to score points on the market with high flexibility and short delivery times.
In 2012/2013, the company relocated from Mils to Terfens following gradual growth. In addition to the necessary spatial capacities, the new building should above all allow for a process organization that follows the production process
The company originally began with the design and manufacture of diamond cutting wires, which were primarily used in the construction industry.
Over the years, the company has developed into an innovative and high-quality niche player for small to medium batch sizes of cutting tools.
In 2015/2016, the machinery was expanded further and new cold presses and sintering furnaces were integrated into the existing equipment, meaning that the company is very well equipped for further expansion in terms of capacity.
With the merger of the two companies SP Technology GmbH and ABR Tools GmbH in 2016 to form Diamond Tools Austria GmbH, the strengths and capacities diamond segment production and the assembling of segments and carrier bodies were bundled, enabling the company to approach customers as a full-service provider.
